A planned collaboration with Jimi Hendrix in 1970 was cancelled due to his sudden death, but this performance carried on his legacy, presenting a unique interpretation utilizing electronic instruments and intricate orchestration. David Sanborn's alto saxophone and Kawasaki's guitar reconstruct the energy of the original tracks within a jazz context. This historically significant recording expands the concept of big band and breathes new life into psychedelic music.
